I’ve always been drawn to the world of fashion retail, but not for the reasons you might expect.

Of course, I love a good find (and I won’t pretend a solid associate discount doesn’t sweeten the deal), but what’s kept me here for over a decade goes far beyond clothes.

At its core, this work has always been about connection. There’s something incredibly meaningful about slowing down enough to truly get to know someone — how they go about their day, what makes them feel confident, and the overall essence that makes them who they are. That understanding is the foundation for everything that follows.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how often shopping becomes an exercise in frustration for many women — ill-fitting cuts, off-balance silhouettes, and dressing rooms that chip away at confidence rather than build it. Without clarity around what actually works for their body, these women are left guessing. With endless options at their fingertips, that guesswork quickly becomes exhausting. Witnessing firsthand how difficult shopping is for so many pushed me to build something of my own.

I originally created Late Bird as a women’s clothing boutique that opened in the summer of 2019.

A lifelong dream come true, it was sadly short-lived, unable to withstand the uncertainty of the pandemic.

As the business model evolved, the mission — to help women find pieces that make them both look good and feel good — has remained the same, and so has the name. Whether a clothing boutique, a styling service, or something else entirely, Late Bird has always been and will always be a judgment-free space rooted in expertise and empathy.

With over a decade of experience working in fashion retail, I bring a deep understanding of fit, proportion, fabrics, and what actually makes a piece wearable beyond the hanger.

And as skilled a stylist and competent a buyer I may be, the thing I excel at most is being human. I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and how difficult it can be to take on one more thing — even when that thing is getting dressed.

So yes, I’m here as a fashion consultant. But I’m also here as a confidant, understanding that sometimes showing up already takes everything you have, and that there is no judgment in meeting yourself exactly where you are.

Everyone knows the saying "the early bird gets the worm." But what about the late bird? Because, let's be honest: the late bird is going to hit snooze 7 times, until she groggily realizes she only has 10 minutes to run out the door to get where she needs to be. Well, she might not get that worm, but at least she has her wardrobe staples that offer style, comfort and the confidence from within, to get her through whatever the day throws her way.
